Since September 2024, Galleywall has been governed by a Local Board of governors. This Board is responsible for ensuring there is a clear vision, ethos and strategic direction at Galleywall and answers directly to the Board of Trustees of the City of London Academies Trust. Governors hold senior leaders to account for the educational performance of pupils, and oversee financial performance, ensuring money is well spent.
The Local Board represents a number of stakeholders including parents and staff, as well as members appointed by the City of London. The Board has a single sub-committee, Finance and General Purposes, which considers matters of finance, resources and facilities for all schools. Other committees may be convened from time to time such as pay, admissions and various panels.
The City of London Academies Trust is the legal entity accountable for the all schools in the trust including Galleywall. The Trust is sponsored by the City of London Corporation. Further information can be found on the Trust website: http://www.cola.org.uk.
