Senior Leadership Team

MA (Cantab), MPhil, NPQH
Head
Mr Blain was educated at Queen Elizabeth’s in Barnet and the University of Cambridge. He trained as a secondary maths teacher in the 1990s and has taught in schools as diverse as the Islington Arts & Media School, Queen Elizabeth’s and Tsabra School in East Africa. He was Principal of the outstanding Canary Wharf College and the Founder of Alma Primary in Barnet. He is on the Council of the Association of School and College Leaders. Interests include skiing and cycling – in fact anything outdoors – martial arts, music and politics. He is very good at spreadsheets and is a committed environmentalist. He met his wife, also a teacher, at work and they have three school-age children.

Deputy Headteacher – Academic
Miss Eadon has a Bsc Psychology degree from the University of Sussex and a PGCE with QTS in Primary Education with the University of Sheffield Hallam. Miss Eadon has worked in a number of schools in different boroughs including St Helen’s Primary School and Dorothy Barely Junior school. She was a teacher at, and then went on to be, Deputy Headteacher at Canary Wharf College. During her time at Canary Wharf College she led a range of subjects including English, Science and Geography. She also completed her National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership. Her interests include going to the theatre, spending time with her family and interior design. She also loves her arts and crafts and can often be found completing a jigsaw!

Deputy Headteacher – Maternity Leave
Mrs Ensall went to Sheffield University where she studied English Literature before completing her PGCE at the Institute of Education at UCL through the Teach First pathway. She has worked at schools in East London and Medway, both as a class teacher and a senior leader, before joining Galleywall in 2023. She grew up on a farm in Devon and has a love of the countryside, animals and the great outdoors. She loves reading and going to the theatre in her spare time.

Assistant Headteacher – Pastoral Care, Yrs 5 & 6
Miss Hudson grew up in small village in Sussex where she attended the local primary and secondary school. When she was a teenager, her family relocated to Norfolk so they could be closer to her family’s farm. Miss Hudson attended Leeds University where she studied Theatre and Performance. Whilst at Leeds, she had the opportunity to complete an additional study year abroad, so she packed her bags and set off to live in Brisbane, Australia. After graduating from university, she trained to be a teacher by gaining a place on the Teach First Leadership Development Programme at Canterbury Christ Church University. In her first school, she taught in classes across Key Stage 2 before becoming the Phase Lead for Year 3 & 4. She joined the Galleywall team in 2020 as a Year 2 teacher and Maths Lead, moving to Year 6 two years later to lead our very first cohort of Year 6 pupils through their final year of primary school.

Assistant Head Inclusion – SENCO, Yrs 3 & 4
Miss Kee attended the University of Glasgow, where she studied Psychology, before completing her PGDE at the Institute of Education at UCL via the Teach First pathway. She has worked in schools across Wandsworth, Croydon, and Southwark, as class teacher, subject lead, and SENCO, before joining Galleywall. Miss Kee is deeply passionate about diversity and inclusion, with particular expertise in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, she enjoys visiting her family back home during the school holidays. In her spare time, Miss Kee likes to stays active through dance, cheerleading, and cold-water swimming.

Assistant Head – EYFS and KS1
Ms Pursani studied at Canterbury Christ Church University, graduating with a degree in Primary Education. She began her teaching career in a large, outstanding school in Newham where she led on English, was Head of Year and a senior leader. Nisha joined Galleywall in 2019, and now holds the role of Assistant Headteacher. Having lived and grown up in the local area herself, Nisha has a strong connection to the school and feels privileged to be working with the children and families at Galleywall. In her spare time, Nisha loves to travel with her husband and two young children, visit the theatre and get creative with her baking skills.

School Business Manager
Winnie brings a wealth of experience having worked in the Education Sector in Senior Management as a School Business Manager in the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Croydon and Islington for over 20 years. Winnie studied with the Institute of School Business Leaders, CIPFA and the Institute of Administrative Management and acquired various qualifications in Finance and Operations for Trust Leaders and Administrative Management. She also acquired Business Management qualifications in Strategic Management, Managing Change, Risk Management, Human Resources Management, Office Systems Management, Finance Management and Finance Reporting. She has a successful track record of managing Finance, Office and Premises teams in Schools and Academies and working with various Stakeholders delivering excellent School Business Management Services and is delighted to be part of the Business and Admin Team at Galleywall Primary School to Support Teaching and Learning and contribute to the success of every child.
